Initial Phone Screen with HR and then two rounds of technical interview. Interviews were discussions about OOP principals.
I received an initial offer that was well below my current compensation.
After rejecting an initial, offer they came back with a different job title that I had to re-apply to. I then completed yet another interview. I was told to expect an offer and was even given a rundown of benefits. A start date was discussed. Lastly, I was given a quoted salary range and told to expect an offer in 24 hours.
24 hours later, the HR rep called and told me they would not be extending me any offer whatsoever. I have basically wasted 4+ hours of my time.
I was told the reason an offer would not be extended and it was a concern that I had a prepared answer for. The question was never actually asked at any time during roughly 3 hours of technical and personal interviews. If this concern was such a problem why was it never discussed.
It was an extremely frustrating experience and the level of disorganization and the unfocused nature of the process is frankly shocking for a financial institution.
