Interview
The first interview was with a recruiter virtually. It went well, and moved on to next steps which involved scheduling a second interview with the program manager and reference check. They wanted my references to respond within 24 hours, before being offered the job. The timeline and quickness of the reference check was off putting for me. I asked for 72 hours because we just encountered a hurricane, and I received the rejection within 48 hours.
I was reached out to by a recruiter. The second interview with the care coach leads was uncomfortable and was not relevant to the position. I was repeatedly asked about de-escalation tactics and my experience even though I explained multiple times my experience in those situations. When I raised concerns about crisis situations and ensuring client safety I was met with a bit of hostility and told that would not be my responsibility. Recruiter was kind but the leads were cold and rude.
Low wages and high turnover. Interviewer was nice enough, but when asked about how they prevent employee burnout, she basically just said support between coworkers. Heads up: this is not enough to prevent burnout.
