I applied for the position of Business Development Manager, and got contacted for an interview. With the HR, we talked for about 30 minutes. Finally, they never got back to me. After a few weeks, I asked them if they could reconsider their decision not to take me. HR told me by email that she had had covid, hence why I was not recontacted. Then, she asked to have a phone call with me. During the phone call, she basically told me that there was either a senior position, or a junior position, for this role, and that I would not fit in any of them, as I was "mid". Then, they reposted the ad a few weeks later (junior) business development manager; and the post asks for one prior B2B experience; exactly what I was. It just left me confused as to why I was not selected for at least a chance with the team? Were they just trying to get me for a very junior role (like a very junior salary)? I did not like the experience.
