      People Operations Interview

      17 Apr 2021
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Checkout.com in Feb 2021

      Interview

5 rounds in total 1 - initial phone screen with recruiter 2 - technical / cultural interview with hiring manager 3 - stakeholder interview with country lead 4 - peer cultural interview from other regional offices 5 - final cultural interview with main lead It was a long thorough process where they focused on making sure you were the right culture fit and able to keep up to speed with them. Entire interview process took around 5-6 weeks. Even though the process was long, it was still one of the best interview processes I've ever been through. The interviewers made sure to put me at ease and make it conversational. They had genuine interest in getting to know more about me and to see how I could fit the role. Some of the questions asked were difficult but fair and relevant to the scope. There was a lot of focus on cultural fit and their values as a company. The recruiter also constantly kept me updated about the progress and gave me feedback on my strengths and how I could improve. The openness and transparency helped me address any concerns they might have and it was mutually reciprocated and definitely appreciated. Overall, despite its rigour, it was one of the best and most thorough interviews I've been through.

      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Checkout.com (London, England) in Aug 2018

      Interview

The process was set up in main 3 Interview steps - from a first call with the Recruiter, the Hiring Manager and an onsite interview with different stakeholders. The stakeholders were different people within the organization from different areas of the business (Sales, tech etc.). Their were quite some people involved in the process, but each stakeholder interview was pretty casual and the people created a great atmosphere. They asked questions around your aspiration or motivation to join the company, it was always a pleasant conversation and actually was a great opportunity to meet a few people from other departments too.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

First call was a regular screening and summary of the professional background, then moving forward more specific questions regarding the domain knowledge and then a casual chat with stakeholders and basically just getting to know each other.
