Multiple interviews with questions that were too open and they had very clear ideas of what they wanted to hear. If you dont say the right thing, odds are you wont get the job. Also, the job descriptions are NOT always accurate. I started with an idea of the job based on what was told to me and the actual job was COMPLETELY different.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Chester County Intermediate Unit (Downingtown, PA) in Jan 2018
Interview
Applied online then a few days later invited to an interview. Drove 45 minutes for a 15 minute interview that could have taken place over the phone.
Was caught off guard when I walked into the interview room and was met with another staff. Each staff took turns asking a total of 5 questions and wrote down everything I said. A few days later was invited for a second interview. This time it was the department supervisor and the same person from HR.
Supervisor was a bit cold and uninterested which is why I wasn't surprised within a few hours later I saw 3 more listings for the job I just interviewed for. A few days later received an e-mail stating they went with someone more qualified which was confusing because that should have been determined in the first interview not the second whether I was qualified or not.
From what I saw while waiting the only diversity was in the student body and one HR person so in this case majority ruled. Wasted 2 personal days and gas if you are none Caucasian don't waste your time look elsewhere.
