I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Chicago Public Schools in Jul 2024
Interview
The interview process had 4 stages: an interview with the Hiring Manager, an interview with a Panel, a technical assessment (they called it a data activity), and a presentation of technical assessment to a Panel.

Question 1
Can you walk us through your process for ensuring data quality and integrity?
I interviewed at Chicago Public Schools (Chicago, IL)
Interview
Initial round was with the data manager followed by 2 other rounds of interview which I didn't qualify to. No sponsorship and it was a grant opportunity. People were in different rounds of interview.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Chicago Public Schools
Interview
3 interviews total. The first was a typical get to know you. The second was an interview was with the larger team with more in depth questions.
The third was a "performance task" in which you must make a presentation and answer questions about a randomized dataset. The questions asked did not make sense in the context of the data. I asked for clarification in an email, and one of the team members admitted that the questions didn't totally make sense. (Yes, I wish I was making this up - I don't know if that was intentional to try to trick applicants)
The interviewer didn't have the courtesy to contact me after the third interview with a decision. After more than a week I contacted them and they informed me that they went with another candidate.
