Met with center director. She asked a few questions - not very detailed. There isn't really an academic or educational vibe in the building, or in the staff, so the questions were like I was interviewing for an office job. Very pleasant people, and everyone I met seemed happy. The information they need for employee file is normal for childcare. They don't do a very good job managing it, though. Expect to bring a couple copies of forms, especially diplomas and certification copies.

The interview process is very standard for anyone who has worked in childcare before. You need to go in with a postive and can-do attitude as well as knowledge of childcare and different activities that are appropriate for the age group. They prefer teachers that plan on staying for a while, so make sure you make it clear you are looking to grow with their company and just be bubbly and personable. Nervous looks good on no one. Be confident you will get the position and you will.
