Overall, a complete waste of time. It started off with the role I initially applied for and interviewed with the recruiter/talent acquisition went very well however about a day or so later I was notified that the role had been filled by an internal employee who wanted to move from part time to full time. Bummer, but ok. I was then offered to consider the role for casual schedule which is essentially like a part time or PRN and I was not interested. So then I decided to apply for the actual therapist position within a very specific department/population which I do have some experience with and was very interested. So I applied, then within about a week or so I get scheduled for an interview with two people who work on the team, then about a week after that I interview with another person on the team (mind you in the very first initial interview the people listed on the email were not even all the people who were supposed to be present). Long story short, I'd say over the course of at least 3-4 weeks or so I had a total of about 3 interviews, one of which was an in-person panel interview. The panel interview itself was fine, I was asked to discuss how I would approach a case from a case vignette I was given prior to the interview and each person there had follow up questions. After that about a few days to a week later, I was asked to give 3 professional references after that interview, which I did and were all completed in less than a week. Finally, I was then asked to come in for a job shadow which was fine, and the same day after the shadow I received a call from the recruiter asking about how it went and then proceeded to ask me more interview questions which should have been asked at the BEGINNING of this entire tiring, useless, POINTLESS process! After that, about radio silence for almost 2 weeks until I finally reached out to the recruiter again for an update and a day later, they finally respond stating they wanted to pursue other applicants. I ask if there was any feedback that could be provided and of course I get HR speak about policy, and the most laughable of all that "we would certainly consider you in the future", blah blah. An absolute waste of time and I would never interview for this organization again. Not a seamless process, very pointless steps made in the beginning and far too many pointless interviews of meeting members who weren't even part of the actual hiring process.
Even more insulting, the position itself states experience for this particular population isn't required and from what I've seen, the position still hasn't been filled. A joke.
