I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Chipotle in Aug 2011
Interview
I walked in to fill out an application, after hearing of their job openings. I was interviewed by all the managers except one. Mostly you should know what 'Food With Integrity' is, and go through the company's official website. Read the history and know who the founder is. Everything you need to know is on the website. Have a goal in life that you can relate to Chipotle; probably wanting to become a manager is the easiest goal. Be yourself. Dress for a typical restaurant job (no jeans, shorts, T-shirts, or sandals).
The interviews are held among the tables where customers eat. The orientation is also done at any table among the customers while they eat.
Just applied online and then got a call to come in for an interview. it was a very straightforward process. interviewed right there in the seating area by the hiring manager.
the interview was very professional and respectful. i appreciated the clear questions and respectful environment. i was given water and they actually sent an email saying i was rejected instead of ghosting me, nice
Easy got the job right away with no experience. NEGATIVE: you need to buy new shoes and was not told this until my first shift...What stood out most was the lack of professionalism. The environment seemed chaotic, and employees appeared stressed and overworked, which made me question the overall workplace culture.
Overall, the experience didn’t reflect well on the company, and it made me reconsider wanting to work there. I hope they improve their interview process to better respect candidates’ time and present a more positive image of their workplace.
