I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ChowNow (Playa Vista, CA) in Oct 2016
Interview
After submitting my application online, I heard from ChowNow HR the same day. First I had a phone screening with Candice. She did a great job of explaining the position and what they were looking for. At then end of our phone call she said she would like to move forward with scheduling me for an in person interview. I went in one morning a few days later and met with Jessica and Stephanie (who had to be skyped in from home). I felt that skyping in Stephanie hindered my interview, but in the moment I had to go with it. They were both very kind and it was evident that they cared for their team members. Next I met with Eric, their COO. Eric was VERY hard to read, so don't be intimidated. He was very friendly. I had much more of a conversation with him and less of an interview. After the interview (was there for a couple hours, so plan accordingly), I felt pretty confident, but did not end up receiving the offer. Like many Silicon Beach start-ups, they definitely try to sell you on the culture. Which is great if you're a 20-something like myself. However it also means start-up pay, which isn't ideal and would have been a side step in my personal career.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at ChowNow (Los Angeles, CA) in Aug 2020
Interview
This interview process took place back in 2018. Started with one phone Screening, Then three one hour interviews. The 3 interviews were with different internal stakeholders and were held back to back.

Interview
Very concise and great communication along the way. Consisted of one recruiter call and one hiring manager call. Hiring manager conversation was very informal and inviting. Started the 30 minutes with very warm rapport building and chatted fluidly about past experiences, aspirations, and the role.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ChowNow (Kansas City, MO) in Nov 2019
Interview
My interview process consisted of 3 interviews. Two interviews over the phone and the third on-site interview with multiple meetings. I also had a written assignment and role play exercise to go with the third interview. The whole process was very enjoyable and professional. It felt like the company was not only wanting to know about my previous work experiences, but it felt like they really aimed to know me personally and how I fit in with ChowNow's culture. They even requested feedback from me about the process. It was very refreshing to encounter a company who cares so much about employee satisfaction.
