I was contacted on a Friday and invited to interview the following Tuesday with two members of the Marketing team. Then, abruptly on Monday evening, the interview was removed from my calendar - no explanation, no email, nothing.
I initially assumed it was a scheduling conflict and waited for a follow-up. When none came, I reached out to the recruiter who had first contacted me. The response I received was vague, dismissive, and offered no explanation for the cancellation.
It’s understandable if interviews need to be cancelled, things happen. But the complete lack of communication, transparency, or even a basic acknowledgment of the time and effort candidates put in is incredibly unprofessional.
I spent the weekend preparing for an interview they asked me to attend, only to be treated like a number. No apology, no follow-up, no respect for my time. It was, without a doubt, one of the worst impressions I’ve had of a company throughout my professional experience. (They also misspelled my name on the invite)
