Applied online. Received email from HR to set up phone interview with Mechanical Engineering Manager. Pretty easy informal phone interview followed by equally easy in person interview and facility tour. I received an offer letter one week later by email. Offer was for $57,000/year, and note that this position requires a 45 hour work week. The average starting salary out of school with a BSME in the area at the time was $63k. I have an MS and had 4 years of engineering experience. After rebutting, they came up to $65k. I had to decline. My advice, though the job sounds cool, is too make clear any salary expectations you have up front to avoid a complete waste of your time.
