The recruiter reached out about a few weeks after I applied and invited me to an interview, but no mention of whether it would be phone or video. Got a zoom link the morning of but the recruiter said it would just be audio once I joined. He was a few minutes late and clearly eating throughout the call. There were long pauses between when I would answer a question and when he would ask the next one. Overall just a very unprofessional experience. He said the hiring process would be the phone screen, an interview with the hiring manager, a panel interview, and an interview with a department head.
The next interview was with the hiring manager and I could tell she wasn’t super interested early on. I was looking for more growth and responsibility in the role than they were offering, so it is totally understandable why it wasn’t a good fit. At the end of our video interview, the hiring manager said she wasn’t sure of the process but one of the recruiting coordinators would get back to me. Received a rejection email a few days later.
