      Associate Sales Representative Interview

      26 Mar 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Cisco in Mar 2018

      Interview

I was first contacted by HR about the ASR position with a question about a preferred location for the on-boarding part of the program. I was then quickly contacted for a video conference one-on-one interview during which I was asked to explain more about my work experience and what I imagine one work-day at Cisco will be like. Later I was progressed to the next stage of the hiring process, which was a technical video presentation. The staff during those two stages was really helpful and I was happy with the speedy process. After I submitted my video response, I received an invitation to fill in a questionnaire about the whole process. I gave them all 9s and 10s and two days later I was contacted by another HR representative of Cisco, who wanted to talk about a position (Virtual Sales Account Manager ) for which I had previously received a rejection in December. I was surprised to be contacted about two positions at the same time and for one I was already rejected but I agreed to a telephone call. Unfortunately, no one contacted me at the agreed time. I thought that there might have been some technical difficulties and wrote an e-mail to the reciter but did not get a response. (I waited for 5 business days) I decided to contact one of the recruiters for the ASR role and ask her if I am still considered for the position and if she could provide more information about my profile and status. The lady was quick to respond and clear to confusion but it was a bit too late. Needless to say, I was disappointed at the lack of accountability. I guess if you are an HR employee and contact a candidate you can do whatever you want and if they don't have a contact at the company you will never know why they don't call you when they say they will and your application will be ruined just because someone did not have their manager in CC.
