Interviewed for Social Media Role
My experience was disappointing due to repeated communication and scheduling issues during the interview process.
I was initially scheduled for a virtual interview, but the recruiter did not join the call. Several minutes after the scheduled start time, I received an email explaining that a scheduling conflict involving her manager had come up and the interview needed to be rescheduled.
We rescheduled for the following Monday. Unfortunately, the recruiter again did not join the scheduled interview and there was no communication beforehand. I emailed to ask whether the interview was still taking place and did not receive a response until the following day.
The recruiter explained that personal issues had prevented her from attending and stated that she would forward my information to the hiring manager. She also indicated that she would provide an update the following Monday regardless of the outcome.
No update was provided on the date promised, and subsequent follow-up emails went unanswered.
I understand that unexpected circumstances happen. However, repeated missed interviews, missed follow-up commitments, and a lack of communication made for a frustrating candidate experience.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at City Electric Supply (Dallas, TX) in May 2021
Interview
The total process took 1 month. Started with a recruiter call, followed by a Telephone & Video Round with the Hiring Manager & Senior Designer on call. It's a straight-up 2-round interview process

Asked about my prior experience, the tools I used, and the Portfolio review
The first interview was with the Talent Acquisition person at CES. The interview went very well, and the questions were easy since I had plenty of experience. I was advised that the next step would be to interview with the hiring manager, and I would hear back within a few days to set that interview up. However, I was completely ghosted. I never heard back from the Talent Acquisition person, even after several follow-ups.
