First interview on Teams. Competency based - very engaging HR person. Was advised it was a two-stage process with next / final stage being f2f meeting their Exec Team, presentation, etc.
Was advised in first meeting I was of interest and they absolutely wanted me to go to final f2f stage a matter of days later. Super excited, I cancelled my plans and got to work on my presentation. I'd received the formal invitation and was then asked if I could meet the CPO for a "quick hello, nothing formal, not an interview, put a face to the name before Monday's Exec meeting". Again, I cancelled my plans (which included not being able to take my husband to see his osteopath where parking is a nightmare!)
I met this CPO for the informal quick chat. I was greeted by the coldest HR person ever!!! Unfriendly, vague questions, really unpleasant experience. A full on interview basically asking me the exact same questions I'd been asked twice days earlier!!! Good to see them joined up, I thought. At the end of the conversation, the CPO says "it's been lovely meeting you, we've got loads of people to see and we'll be back in touch". Puzzled, she clearly had no clue I was already booked for the Exec meeting for Monday, I said "I'm due to meet you all on Monday ....I've been working on the presentation". Obviously stumped, the CPO didn't have any clue and waffled on about me hearing from my agent blah blah blah.
Needless to say, I withdrew from the process immediately. My agent was incredibly apologetic and embarrassed.
Certainly not an organisation I'd ever entertain joining or recommending as an employer of choice if that experience is anything to go by!
