Claremont USD interview questions

I applied online & after application was received/viewed by HR, I received a call to schedule an interview. It was a panel interview, which included the principal & 4-5 teachers (1 from each grade level). I thought the interview went well, they were very pleasant. A week later, I received a call from HR notifying me another candidate was chosen. Very hard to get into CUSD unless you're referred by a current employee. I had volunteered at the school for over 8 yrs, so I knew everyone on the panel. Felt it was a waste of time, since they already had someone else in mind for position.
