I applied through a refferal who is already working in cleartax. I got a call the very same day. I had applied for their C# team works for E filing.
The HR was very helpful. He was able to walk me through the tech stack of ClearTax. The different teams which comes under engineering. He also clearly explained me the roles and responsibilities i will be handling etc etc. I was surprised that a HR knew so much technical stuff about a product line. I feel more companies should have people like him who know what they are speaking when they are talking to engineers
Overall i had an awesome experience with ClearTax. The discussions were pretty difficult i felt. I had an offline coding assignment which took me 5 hours to implement and send back and i had a follow up discussion open ended problem solving and 2 more discussion on Distributed architecture and object oriented programming and Class level Design.

I applied through referral. The process took 2 to 3 weeks. Total - 3 rounds.
1st round - LLD Machine coding round - Design BookMyShow (Take ur fav ide, fav oop lang, a runnable code gives you extra reward but it is fine if you can explain OOP, Design Patterns. A few HLD follow up questions were also asked).
2nd Round - LLD Design Cricbuzz (for one specific game - Badminton, Coding is not expected, used draw.io). (Explaining all the entities and relations, Design patterns You should be able to drive the discussion)
3rd Round - HM Round, 75 min - I found this very wierd. The Hiring Manager is not interested about my work at all. He was only interested in asking a lot of questions and noting my solutions. HR confirmed that this is my last round. So, this whole round seemed like it was intended not to hire me. (Asked a puzzle, SQL queries, 1 DSA question, 1 HLD question, again 1 DSA question: on Inverted Index. I didnt answer this: seemed like a std question, but couldn't answer this with intution or logic)
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at ClearTax in Oct 2021
Interview
The whole interview process was virtual.
There were 2 technical rounds - 1 design - HLD/LLD and 1 DS/Algo basic array questions.
At the end they reverted with "internal consensus could not be formed and we are not moving ahead with your candidature"
