I applied online. I interviewed at ClickUp (Reno, NV) in Jan 2020
Interview
Great Hiring Manager, had a nice and interesting conversation about their plans for future and how they approach the development and release processes. Hiring manager was interested in me and told me a lot about the potential challenges which i may face

Interview
I applied in March and booked a time with my recruiter that was literally 1 month away... Weird, but ok. Day of the Recruiter interview they assure me they will guide me through the process and move me on to the next round.
About a week later I am introduced to a completely new recruiter and I am to schedule my interview with a manager. It wasn't super clear what happened with my original recruiter and seemed odd/sudden.... whatever, onward.
Day of my interview the hiring manager is clearly checked out and not interested. I even witness them smirking as they are engaged with a colleague via DM.
In the interview I am asked if I did the 'assessment' and I mentioned that I did not. They finish the interview with some trivial questions.
Next day-- "Thanks but unfortunately" email arrives. I spoke to them for 30 minutes and my 8+ years of experience shipping products meant less than the interaction I had with my ADD interviewer. I found it odd to be passed on without any time of skill assessment.
Then today I noticed ClickUp just fired 7% of their staff-- I see why. Everything is very clear and I dodged one of the biggest bullets of my life.

Question 1
There were maybe 2 questions about me. The only one I recall is: Tell me about a time you had trouble shipping a product
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ClickUp (Salt Lake City, UT) in Mar 2022
Interview
The interviews were standard: a call from HR, then a Zoom with the hiring manager. Then, for this role, a half day with multiple Zooms. I was asked to do a full project in the system that verged on having to do too much work and understand what the entire system did.
Initial interview round followed by technical round. Then a final interview. The whole process took just a couple weeks and the communication was quick. It's a rigorous interview process though so come prepared!
