Interview
The interview process is divided into one call with HR, three technical calls, and one take-home assignment. It's well organized and connected, mainly having good questions about the role. The company usually responds within a day, and sometimes it is even faster, taking just a few hours to hear back from them.
Thanks for sharing your feedback, we're thrilled to have you on board! 🚀

Interview
The application was thorough and required a quick coding challenge in addition to a few questions.
They lay out the interview process right away, which was helpful. I had a very nice intro call with people ops before entering the formal interview process (to ensure my goals aligned with theirs). I was unfortunately rejected after the first Technical interview. There was some miscommunication in the technical interview prep email where I was told I would be doing a "code review and communal discussion". I totally misunderstood that as a "pairing pull request session" rather than what it actually was, which was two live coding challenges. I didn't feel like I bombed the interview by any means, but I suppose I didn't hit the marks they required/were looking for.
If you're very interested in Close I would suggest ensuring you have a solid foundational understanding of frontend security and performance, and be able to speak about that in great length.

Interview
Probably the most awful interview process I've ever seen. While the first initial email clearly defined what the process was going to be, which was a plus, the first 'technical' interview was terrible.
I've never experienced an interview where a company had absolutely zero interest in who I was, what I've built or how I've solved anything within my career.
The call began with 'This is the start of the interview...' and proceeded to ask a couple of odd 'gotcha' questions, especially for a senior position, while not asking a single question revolved around the tech stack they use - React. It was baffling. It then ended with some leetcode 'live' exercise (they gave no warning about) that they pulled off the internet.

Interview
It's really uncanny how similar the entire process and feedback was compared to how others have reported!
The interview process was just super time consuming. Not really difficult or challenging in any way. Most of the time was spent on a coding project (8+ hours). The follow up interview then consisted mostly of the interviewer watching me add MORE features to the coding project! They left no time at the end for me to ask them questions. This place is just very inconsiderate of your time as a whole.
As others experienced, I, too, wasn't moved on to the final round and was told that it was because they were moving forward with someone who "more directly aligns with our needs for the role". This was reiterated when I asked for more specific feedback (of which they could give none, other than "we went with another candidate" although I was "very thoughtful and experienced"). Yet two days later they reposted the same exact job in a popular forum. So while they was extremely hospitable and friendly, it's clear they were simply lying. They likely are not even actually looking to hire at all and are probably using this as an opportunity to train their current staff on interviewing.
Overall extremely unprofessional, duplicitous, and disrespectful of their candidate's time.

We appreciate your feedback and apologize that you had a negative experience. Our team is small and we host all recruiting efforts internally so unfortunately we would only feel right about providing feedback to one person, if we could provide it for everyone. We hope you understand but we will absolutely take your feedback to heart.
