I interviewed for the position, it took around one week, four interviews. The team was nice, the first three interviews were very easy, the last interview was with two peoples, one of them was a bit rude he didn’t say a word (not even a greeting) the entire time, he was just rocking his chair around, he seemed bored and had zero interest in what I was saying, at the very end he said we reviewed hundreds of resumes and you were one of the 50 we picked to interview as if it was something I should be proud of, I got the feeling that he was told to attend even though he already made up his mind about me before even meeting me. This job was open for around 5 months. I was ghosted for around 2 months before I got the rejection, something I already knew. The funny thing it turned out that the person they hired was a software developer he had near zero security background, why were they looking for someone with strong security background to end up with someone like that. I wish companies recognize the significant time and effort candidates invest in the interview process, as well as the associated stress. Clear job descriptions and well-informed recruiters would go a long way in ensuring a smoother experience for everyone involved.
