I applied online. I interviewed at Co-op (London, England) in Feb 2023
Interview
The Co-op resourcing team has a set interview questionaire sheet which can be used by all stores. The manager uses this at interview and notes down key information about yourself, such as skills and experiences you have that would make you a good candidate for the store.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Tell me about yourself. Why would you like to work at the Co-op?
"Tell me a time" questions.
Ones that came up in the interview for me: Tell me a time you dealt with a difficult situation. Tell me a time you showed leadership. Tell me a time you helped a colleague.
After this they will ask what your availability is and then provide you further information about the role. At the end you of this you can ask questions about the role, company or anything to do with the store/local area itself.
Nice guy who interviewed me but took 3 week to reply. Found the interview preparation quite intense in relation to what the job was. Was told that 15 others were interviewed so wasn’t rly any hope of getting the job.
Sent my CV in after an ad on indeed. Sit down interview in back of store. Not too formal. Spoke to the manager of the store and was asked interview questions.
It was calm they explained everything to me. It lasted to 30 minutes. I was interviewed by two people. Just be calm and gather thoughts don’t rush to answer the 5 value question
