I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at CodeAI (Seattle, WA) in Jan 2024
Interview
Approximately 7 one:one zoom calls organized in phases (initial phase with the hiring manager and HR, followed by batch of peers, and finally some direct team members I would work closely with).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Most questions covered my general background, and interactive discussions about how my skills map to the JD and priorities of the org.
Like many candidates I aim to be a superb hire and high-impact first year team member, so mapping my skills to the responsibilities of the role I was applying for was an important part of the interview process for both me and the folks I met in the interviews.
Many of the questions revolved around the fit of my goals/needs and the mission of the company. As a mission oriented non-profit this resonated and was expected and welcomed.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your interview experience. We’re glad to hear that you found the process to be thorough and meaningful, especially in aligning your skills and goals with Code.org’s mission. Our team strives to ensure every candidate has a clear understanding of the role they are applying for and how they can contribute to our mission-driven work. We look forward to seeing the impact of your skills and dedication on our team and are excited about the opportunity to achieve great things together!
