I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CoinDCX (Mumbai) in Nov 2021
Interview
Started off very nicely. Recruiter was very chatty, I felt very nice considering I have not applied in India for a while. First interview was with Head of Dev, nice guy and some arch plus analytical questions.
Second one was more around architecture (90mins). I felt it went really well and from his responses, seemed quite positive. There were quite a few things that he didn’t know that I had to explain, and he was quite receptive. Which I thought was a good thing as well.
Tech stack: RoR, express etc
After waiting for 2 days, got a standard, “sorry negative response”. When I asked for feedback; the response was “I am busy now, I will ping you later”, and then disappeared. It was a bit of shock to me where the behaviour turned, so differently. So I am guessing there is some hidden reason that they can’t tell me for rejection.
I would say, research a bit more about the culture and people you would be working with. I really felt like, it was fake front face to a lot of ego and misjudgments. So probably a bad place for aspiring engineers (don’t be fooled by 4.4 star ratings). Doesn’t apply to all, but some bad apples can ruin the companies image!
Thanks for sharing your feedback and we are sorry you did not get a positive experience. Each of these reviews are very important for our learning and we will work on improving the process.
