      Software Test Engineer Interview

      19 Feb 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at CoinGecko in Feb 2024

      Interview

I thoroughly enjoyed the interview process, which consisted of six rounds. The initial round felt like a friendly HR call, followed by a test on their website for the second round. The third round involved a take-home test. The fourth round was a comprehensive interview with the Head of Engineering, QA Lead, and Senior QA. They asked a lot of technical questions, particularly about Agile Methodology, manual and automation testing. While I wished for more time to showcase additional aspects of my work, I understand the time constraints they faced. I believe that with more time, I could have shared more of my accomplishments. Despite not passing the interview, I have no regrets. The experience with the Coingecko assessments, especially the second and third tests, provided valuable learning opportunities. The self-study and exploration of my capabilities during this process were enriching, and for that, I am grateful.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

      1) Creativity of designing test cases 2) BVA 3) Mind Map Flow 4) CI/CD 5) Selenium 6) Agile Methodology 7) Manual & Automation Testing.
