Interview process is long. I spoke with a recruiter in a phone interview and then was scheduled for an in-person interview. The recruiter met with me virtually the night before the in-person interview to prepare a 20 minute sample teaching session. The teaching session was very different from what the recruiter said it would be. The interviewers pretended to be students. However, they did not actually engage with the content at all. They did not read my resume or ask me any interview questions. They were not interested in my teaching abilities. Instead, they were only interested in my ability to repeat directions word-for-word. It took two hours. Toward the end, they made me write down my lines (directions I would give students in class) and then perform them again. They emphasized that the most important part of the job is following the script. The interviewers were condescending and not personable.
