I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Columbia Basin College (Pasco, WA)
Interview
Very quick. There wasn't really any interview, they simply ensured that I understood basic workplace practices and that I had a basic understanding of how my job was supposed to be done. It wasn't really even an interview.
I applied through university. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Columbia Basin College (Pasco, WA) in Sept 2011
Interview
In order to be eligible for student employment, the potential employee was required to score 100 percent in an online quiz in addition to walking into the college's Student Employment department. Once the department was contacted, tax forms and other required paperwork were filled. Thus, the disability services department, officially known as the Resource Center, requested a background check which soon led to an interview. In the interview, I was given a paper with letters to alphabetize. Once I finished, I was asked questions that would reflect my ability to use computers in addition to asking if I had ever worked with college students outside of the classroom. At the end of the interview, I was required to type a 1-page paper about how I would benefit the company. Once I finished, I was immediately offered a job which then was accepted!
