The worst interview process I have been through. It started in July when I applied for the Lending Credit Card Analyst position. I received a canned email the very next day that they reviewed my application and decided not to move forward. No big deal, it happens. 12 days later I get an email from the recruiter this time that says they reviewed my resume and were impressed and wanted to schedule an interview. The earliest available time they had was 19 days away. I scheduled it.
I start the virtual interview and the recruiter starts with the basic tell me about your self question. I was then asked if I had any fraud analysis experience. I said no and the interview was over at the time. The position required a certain amount of fraud analysis experience. The job description did not have the word fraud anywhere. Not a signal mention. If this was a deal breaker, why did the recruiter just ask in an email? Why did we wait 19 days?
I had to look at the job description and did a keyword search for fraud and not a single mention. I emailed the recruiter thanking them for the interview and asked what position I interviewed for since I initially got a rejection email and then was asked about fraud analysis when the job description did not contain a single mention of fraud. The recruiter responded back the same day and said they decided not to move forward with the role. In 24 hours they eliminated the role apparently. My question wasn't answered and I'm not sure they read my email.
Foolishly come April when things at my current employer at the time became dire, I applied for another job there. I was hoping for a different recruiter but I got the same one and they remembered me. The only available time slot was 7:30 AM. The recruiter was yawning during the interview and called me by the wrong name. The interview was going good and I was asked how I would build an SOP from scratch for Community Choice. I started answering and was interrupted and said how would YOU do it. I started over and was interrupted again and was asked how I did at my previous company. I started over again and was interrupted yet again and asked how I would do it. At this point I knew I was cooked and wasn't moving on. At the end I did ask for next steps anyways. They said they would let me by the end of the next week. They provided all the steps which included two more interviews and a skills test. I got a job with another company that pays a lot more and had to jump through fewer hoops. Anyways, I never got a response and followed up the following Monday and no response. Ghosted. Needlessly to say, I won't be applying at this company again. Not only is their process broken, but they are sloppy. The confirmation texts they said for your application has [Job Posting], clearly a template they failed to update. Their emails have grammatical errors. Just an awful place and not sure why I applied twice.
