First off, in my opinion I would argue against a hiring process with sending a candidate for a QA role to a technical 45 minutes programming / scripting exercise run by third party vendor -Karat. In my opinion Quality Engineers should be scored on how well they can brake a software, not to build one.
Second, I was told by Compass' recruiter that unbiased process is in place by hiring 3-rd party interviewer (Karat) to score candidates for them. I was also told there is a no question asked policy in place to ask your interviewer for a REDO within next 24 hour period if you feel like doing better second time around. Guess what, literally overnight and most definitely less than my 24-hour redo option expired I receive a response from Compass recruiter saying "thank you" for your time, but we'll pass. I guess I'll ask, why Karat did not wait 24 hours and reported my score without waiting for me to exercise my redo option.... and for Compass, shame for your "unbiased" hiring process.
