Super disappointing, confusing, and unfair process. They said they loved both my interview and task, but wouldn't move on with me because my salary expectations (which were stated in my cover letter from the beginning) were too high and I was too senior. I said I was willing to earn a lower salary and take on a more junior role, but then they answered they chose someone else who had extensive experience (?). Not to mention that they forgot to send me the task on the day that was scheduled, and I had to chase them to get a new appointment.
