Checked communication and the willingness to work in terms of stability. Apart from that there was a typing test. Then HR round followed by the ops round. More or less it was easy.
The interview process was very nice. The management and the interviewer was also very polite. The interview process was of medium difficulty and it took around 24mins to be interviewed.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Concentrix (Pune) in Aug 2022
Interview
First round was amcat assessment in which instructions weren't clear enough or due to technical glitch I don't know but when I landed on intructions page, it was clearly written(that is what I read) I need to pick a topic out of five and write an essay of 200 words within duration of 30 minutes. I was surprised when I didn't see the list of topics where I needed to pick one on clicking "next" button. I landed on a blank page and it was there for a minute. I didn't understand anything. Then it redirected me to a page where a topic was written and 30 minutes timer started running. I wrote my essay in about 7 to 8 minutes and was wondering what is happening. Why did they give 30 minutes for just 200 words of essay. Then I just sat and made some modications and added extra lines and made it around more than 300 words of essay. Still 10 minutes were there and then I clicked on "Submit" bitton. Note it clearly. Its Submit, not Next. And as soon as I clicked it, I landed on to next page with another topic and that was when I realized that I had to complete all the 5 topics in 30 minutes. I was left with around 8 minutes. I completed 2nd topic and the time got expired in the middle of 3rd essay. So pathetic experience it was. Even the guy who was looking after the hiring process didn't inform me before the assessment regarding this. Really pathetic. I thought I wasn't going to get selected but somehow in the evening I recieved a call from HR and she was so hot headed that she started arguing with me. She asked me what kind of work are you looking for. I replied I always look for challenging role which keeps me engaged. She said that BPO jobs are not challenging. So will you leave the company in that case if I hire you? I said I totally disagree with you. Who said BPO jobs are not challenging? Infact, each and every jobs are challenging and there is lot to learn everyday at every point of turn and time. Seriously, my interview turned into an argument that too heated one. She kept on saying no, its not challenging and i kept disagreeing. The last thing we did was to agree to disagree with each other and she moved to next question. And I could find a tone of arrogance in her next questions. I don't recall her name but she was the pathetic HR I came across. I was praised for being very responsive in the interviews by the other interviewers in other companies because I like the interview to happen both ways. I don't like 1 sided,i.e., interviewer asks questions and interviewee only answers. I don't like such interviews. I like to ask questions to HR too. And trust me, all the HRs of other companies were impressed by me where I got interviewed till now which includes Tech Mahindra(have offer letter), Cognizant(my previous organisation), DST/SS&C, etc. Same thing I did here. And she said this is an interview. Is this how interview goes on? Who at the first place gave that lady an HR position? Its really funny. Concentrix was the only one where I was dissatisfied with the interview procss due to technical glitch in amcat assessment and a lady who is purely unfit to be in HR position. Never going to Concentrix again. 1st impression is last. And my impression for this company is way below gutter now.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about your educational background.
What kind of work you like?
BPO jobs are not challenging. Will you leave the company in that case?
Where do you stay?
Its mentioned on your resume that you are comfortable with 21k in-hand salary per month.(whereas I was told the salary was 31k per month in the beginning of the interview process and I never agreed to 21k salary. And why would I? I was earning 25k in my previous organisation. What a white lie!! Shame on her.)
