Recently, I attended a walk-in interview for the Management Trainee role.
The interview process included multiple rounds:
• Round 1: Grammar test
• Round 2: Face-to-face interview, where questions were asked on basic rules, transactions, and academic projects
• Final Round: Essay writing on a given topic
I cleared both the grammar test and the face-to-face interview. In the final essay-writing round, four candidates participated. During this round, one female candidate was found using ChatGPT while writing the essay and was questioned by HR.
Despite this, she was selected, while the remaining candidates (including myself) were informed that we would receive feedback by end of day. Unfortunately, no feedback or update has been shared so far.
What makes this more disappointing is that I entered the company at 10:00 AM and came out only at 7:00 PM, spending nearly the entire day in the interview process. Clear communication and fair evaluation are essential, especially when candidates invest so much time and effort.
Sharing this experience in the hope that organizations ensure transparency, ethical evaluation, and respect for candidates’ time.
