I got this interview through a staffing agency. It was a pretty straightforward interview. He started out by saying he didn't like to read from scripts, so he just had a normal conversation with me. I liked that because it seemed more genuine. He told me straight up that there wasn't much room to grow within the administrative field. He said basically "if you're an administrative assistant, that's where you'll stay. There's not a lot of jumping around or moving up." He was like the branch manager or something and he had moved up to his position, so it sort of seemed like he was discouraging me. He was a nice guy, but being told that info didn't make me want the job at all.
