Spent a month in the hiring process doing very well the entire time. On my last interview with the CEO (who was 35 min late), I was consistently told that I was a perfect fit. Towards the end of this last interview, I indicated that I was unaware the CEO was a company founder. She then went off, clearly overly offended and highly pompous, lied to the HR team about various facets of our call to make it seem like there was a legitimate reason for dismissing me, and wouldn’t even respond to my email apologizing.
The HR team then refused to respond to or contact me. The irony - they say their goal is to help their customers properly conduct interview processes, but they can’t even properly handle their own.
The CEO needs to check her ego at the door for the sake or her misguided product.
Thankfully, I accepted a position with a better company for higher pay!
