I interviewed at CoralTree Hospitality Group (Denver, CO)
Interview
Call with recruiter then never heard back. Had a basic interview and never heard back after follow up e-mails. Everything seemed to be going well. Was told that next steps would be with the hiring manager. Company brags about being about the people then ghosts you
I applied online. I interviewed at CoralTree Hospitality Group (Denver, CO) in Apr 2021
Interview
The screening interview with the HR representative was great. Good conversation, and very informative. She submitted me for review to the hiring manager and the hiring manager reached out to set up an initial interview. Took about a week to schedule the interview (HR was not involved at this point.) The interview was set up for a 1/2 hr. and we ended up chatting for almost an hour. During the interview she let me know that she would be reaching out to set up another, more formal interview with herself and another executive. After the interview I sent a thank you note and let her know I was looking forward to the second interview with her and the other executive. A week goes by with no response. That can be typical in the interview process, so didnât think too much of it. She finally reached out, apologized and told me she ran into âscheduling conflictsâ the week prior and had a corporate leadership conference the current week and so things were on pause until the end of that week until she could refocus on setting up the interview. I sent back a friendly response letting her know that I was eager to reconnect when things settled down at weekâs end. After my last response I didnât intend to follow up again, getting a negative vibe as to how the interview process had been handled at that point. Well, you know what they say about always trusting your intuition? I was right! I got ghosted! The hiring manager never did reach back out, and after almost two weeks with no communication re: next steps for the second, more formal interview, I got one of those generic HR auto-response emails that indicated that the position had been filled. Is this really how companies handle the interviewing process these days? Telling candidates that you will be in touch with details re: the next interview and then basically ghosting them is beyond unprofessional. Iâm embarrassed for CoralTree Hospitality.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at CoralTree Hospitality Group (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2019
Interview
I had a very good experience with the interview process at a hotel in San Francisco. The HR person was kind, engaging and very knowledgeable. She had been with the company for some time so she gained my trust right away. She spoke highly of her leadership team and the company culture.
