      Sales Development Representative (SDR) Interview

      2 Sept 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Corel in Aug 2025

      Interview

I interviewed with Alludo and initially spoke with HR. The conversation was positioned as informal and conversational, but the questions ended up being very typical of an HR screen. Despite having over six years of VMware sales experience, selling directly into their ICP, and consistently performing at AE level numbers, I wasn’t moved past the first round. I’ll admit I may not have answered every question exactly as he would have liked, none of us are perfect, but my track record speaks for itself. In fact, when I used to interview, I preferred candidates who didn't ace every single question, because it shows authenticity. They’re not reciting rehearsed answers; they’re being real. That suggests someone who is genuine, growth oriented, and adaptable, rather than over rehearsed or rigid. What stood out most was being told that none of the other applicants had VMware experience, yet my experience and metrics still didn’t seem to carry weight in their decision. The discussion ran for a full hour, and I left thinking my performance history spoke louder than anything else. This was one of only two companies in recent years where I wasn’t invited to a second round, which makes me question how they define “fit.” After reading other reviews, I now have a better understanding of how this company operates, and I don’t feel too bad anymore. For prospective applicants, know that Alludo appears to prioritize conformity over merit, and may not evaluate candidates purely on performance, despite what their job postings suggest.
