My first interview was panel style, and I interviewed with 3 managers at the same time. The interview was not terribly difficult, as they all pretty much asked me the same questions - though I got the impression the hours would be very long. I was then contacted via email and asked to complete a 'homework assignment', which consisted of a writing sample, creating spreadsheets to track inventory, and creating numerous pieces of artwork using Adobe Illustrator (despite my having made it very clear that I had zero experience using Illustrator). The homework was very time consuming, and I had to download multiple pieces of software to complete it. The upside was that it became VERY clear to me that I had no interest in pursuing the position any further once I had a clear vision of what a day in the life was. The downside was that they didn't even bother to respond once I sent the homework in - pretty unprofessional considering the amount of time I put into it. Left a bad taste in my mouth, especially since it's a customer service position - not a ringing endorsement for their treatment of customers.
