I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Cottage in Mar 2022
Interview
The first interview was with someone on the marketplace team, then I had an interview with the head of growth. And finally, I had to work on two projects and present them to the head of growth, head of sales, and CEO.
Everyone was extremely nice. However, they took a very long time to get back to me after each interview. The time from my first interview to the last email telling that they didn't want to move forward with me was a total of 2.5 months.

Question 1
1. The first project was all about finding ways to reduce or eliminate the time a Cottage salesperson needs to spend going to a homeowner’s property for the initial site visit and the
GC Site Visit.
2. The second project was about planning the launch of Cottage in a new market
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Cottage in Apr 2021
Interview
Interview was with the Software Engineering Lead at Cottage. Definitely a bit of a language/culture barrier making the whole call a bit awkward. It was brought
up that they are currently using contractors and would like to fill out the team with FTEs. After our introductions were complete we jumped right into a rather
dogmatic set of questions which gave the impression that this lead has experience hiring contractors but not FTEs.
After asking how many years of experience I have in each language/skill it became clear that this would not be a fit culturally speaking since the interviewer refused to accept open-source experience with node.js as "professional" experience and mentioned that I would fall short of their 3 years of required experience with node.js even though I have 10+ years developing node modules in an open-source setting.
