I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Counterpart International in Apr 2024
Interview
On a Thursday, I was only offered interview options (online) on a Friday or Saturday night. Already, this was very weird, and my interview was scheduled for 7:30 pm on Saturday. I hop on the call (which was unexpectedly just a voice call, which was inconvenient because I wouldn't have gotten business professional at 7:30 pm on a Saturday, but moving on). The interviewer, during the first minute, asked if we could push until 8:30 pm. Weird, but again I accepted. 8:30 rolls around and it was such an unprofessional interview. She had said she was out with her husband earlier, and it was very loud on her end because she was on her patio / balcony outside. It was a very stiff interview. She asked if I had any questions and I first asked what the next steps would look like. She just said that it was time to ask my questions... again, really weird. I reiterated I wanted to know after the interview what to expect in regards to further communication and all that stuff. She said, oh we reach out to all applicants regardless of status, we finish up interviews early next week so you should hear back late next week or early the week after max. I then asked if there were any things that are good to know for newcomers to Counterpart Intl and she just said that traffic was bad... nothing about the organization. Anyways, after the interview I sent a thank you note and didn't hear back for over a month. I followed up twice and received nothing. I would have rejected a position even if I had been offered it based on the unprofessionalism I experienced, but wow... so weird.

Best, Recruitment Team
I interviewed at Counterpart International (Washington, DC)
Interview
Very quick but thorough interview process. First a phone screening with a recruiter who is very familiar with the development industry. The second interview is a meeting with the team for an hour, where they talk to you specifically more about how your experiences line up with the job. The final interview is a one on one with a member of your teams leadership to better understand how you fit with Counterpart's mission and culture.

Interview
Went well, with a few rounds of interviews. Occasionally a little slow to get back to me, but the interviews themselves were professionally done and their questions were fair and straightforward
