I applied online. I interviewed at Crate and Barrel (Santa Clara, CA) in Nov 2023
Interview
A complete waste of time and many instances of miscommunication and unprofessionalism from this company. Interviewed for the furniture sales associate position in Santa Clara two times. The first interview went great, asked about myself and was given a tour of the furniture department. However there was a lack of communication in many ways as I was told I can start as soon as possible in the first interview by the assistant manager. I was then called in for another interview with the store manager and was asked more specific questions about experience and qualifications. Afterwards, I received absolutely no communication back and had to send two emails for any communication. Later my information was passed on to the housewares department to take a lower paying position there. After expressing interest in accepting the position, I received no more communication from the store manager. If you are interviewing here prepare for complete disregard for your time spent as well as following up.

Interview
It was swift and easy. I was asked if I worked in sales before and did customer service. I was also asked if I had styled anyone home before. The assistant store manager who interviewed me was very nice. She gave me a brief tour of the floor afterward and told me she would call me about the offer.
The interview was very simple and easy, managers made it seem like a very welcoming workplace with room to grow within the company. Which all turned out to be absolutely false.
