      Application

      I interviewed at Craver

      Interview

First screening is a one-way video interview. Second round is a 30-minute virtual interview. Third is one hour in-person. Fourth is supposedly another second interview in person. Despite the pay range not being what I was looking for, I thought I would see what the culture/team is like, however within 15 minutes into the interview, I knew I didn't want to work there. The questions and format were a bit unconventional, repetitive, and felt combative. Absolutely zero connection with the interviewer, with a bit of a condescending tone from their end. Lots of questions and follow up questions about university studies/experience despite 5+ years of experience in the workplace. After the third interview, I sent an email withdrawing from the process. To which they had asked for feedback on the reason for my decision. I said, "In the end, I wasn't confident about my overall fit for the role, between my experiences, skillset, and the culture." To which they responded: "We came to a similar conclusion" which was unsolicited and felt unnecessary.

      Question 1

What would your current manager say is a strength? What would they say is a weakness? What would your previous manager say is your strength? What would they say is a weakness? What would your first manager say is your strength? What would they say is a weakness?

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Craver (Vancouver, BC) in Jun 2025

      Interview

Employer requests a one-way video interview as the initial screen, which makes little sense for a role focused on communication. If they can't take the time to talk to candidates, it seems reflective of the company culture — and not in a positive way.

      Question 1

Tell us about yourself, why you're a good fit for the role and talk about a successful project you worked on.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Craver in Jun 2025

      Interview

Applied online and got an email to record a one-way interview. It only had 2 questions but not sure how it could help in narrowing down the candidates. I got past that and had a 1:1 with their Director of Marketing. It felt like it was off to a nice start but the questions that I was asked didn't feel very structured or relevant to that stage. I answered a few questions that were very subjective but I felt like I was being judged and over-interrogated more? One of the questions was describe a weakness and after answering, I was asked, "How is that a weakness?". I literally just spent the last minute explaining how. Idk but it felt weird but I carried on with the call with a smile regardless. Was told I'd hear back in 2 days. I got a rejection email something around the lines of "after considering your application and interview, we have decided to...". Funny they say that because there was no "we" in the process. And my application and interview? The DoM even said when asked "I am not very organized so the Marketing (or Content?) Manager keeps me organized". Didn't share anything about their vision for this role and such. Had my call in June and after having read some of the other reviews about the same role, I feel like I dodged a bullet as I wasn't the only one who felt that.
