      Vice President, Customer Experience Interview

      11 Oct 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Crossover for Work in Oct 2019

      Interview

This is the most rigorous interview process I have ever been a part of, to be honest I'm not sure if they're recruiting for an astronaut or an office worker. The hoops they make you jump through are absolutely absurd - several hours and days answering multiple choice questions, doing cognitive intelligence tests, and other foolish dehumanizing tasks that waste your time. I am uncertain why the robots at Crossover think that a standardized test is the way to get the best candidate for any position but my assumption is the people who work there have not actually spent any time working in a real office with real human employees. If you see a job post for a well-compensated position from CrossOver do yourself a favor and skip it. If I could rate my interview as "very negative", I would.

      Interview questions [4]

      Question 1

Timed cognitive intelligence test - answer 60 questions in 15 minutes about what shapes or numbers come next in patterns... as if this somehow informs my interviewers how effective of a leader I am.

      Question 2

Voice recording - they want to hear how well you speak about your career in place of an actual human interview... for some reason. They ask you 5 questions about your career, and they want you to answer all of them in a sound file thats more than 2 minutes in length, but less than 5.
      Answer question

      Question 3

Multiple choice quiz - answer ~20 or so multiple choice questions about how you would respond to certain scenarios.

      Question 4

Long-form answer test - Apparently this test could take up to 3 hours, according to their website.
