I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at CrowdStrike (Kirkland, WA) in Oct 2017
Interview
Position was for Senior Network Architect/Engineer in IT.
- Initial contacts: Talked with the internal Recruiter & met the hiring Manager.
- Interview #1: Talked with team members.
- Interview #2: Talked with tech leads and architects.
- Interview #3: Talked with network engineer.
- Almost 3 weeks of silence...
- Interview #4: Talked with hiring Director.
- 2 more weeks of silence...
- Interview #5: Talked with Director of Operations
- Not in IT management chain.
- While this person was driving AND while they were having cell phone issues as well.
End result:
- "Unfortunately we are not going to move to next steps in the process as we need someone who is a little more hands on."
Follow-on:\
- Both the hiring Manager nor the hiring Director I talked to are no longer employed at Crowdstrike.
- This final interviewer never asked me any significant technical questions - but they were the one that turned me down for not being hands-on enough.
- Based on conversations with several folks, IT appears to be totally and completely dysfunctional.
Given the experience and follow-on information, I cannot recommend interviewing/working in IT at CrowdStrike.
