Interview
I applied online, as well as using some networking to improve my chances of being considered. Several weeks after applying, I was asked to come in for an in-person interview through an automated process, which was very efficient but supplied no details. I entered the County Commissioner's meeting room, and slowly 6 department heads and the three Commissioners entered. I sat in the middle of the room (Congressional hearing-style) and answered questions for 45 minutes (pretty intimidating due to not being given a heads-up it would be happening like this).
For the second interview a few weeks later, I was asked to put together a five-page strategic plan and was told to be prepared for a writing exercise upon arrival. For the first 30 minutes of the interview, I was asked to prepare a press release based on a script they provided, plus multiple people playing "roles" that I could interview. They reviewed my release upon completion and then I was asked to defend what I wrote. This was followed by a review of the strategic plan I developed. The third interview took place several weeks later. I was told that it would be the Commissioners doing most of the talking, but it turns out they had 30 minutes worth of additional questions to ask me. About 5 days later, I was told they were going with someone else.

Interview
First interview went really well. I was asked typical interview questions about my current job, work skills, ect. I was asked to come back for a second interview three weeks later. This interview also went great, being that it was basically identical to the first one. I was told that the position was between me and two other canadits and that I would be informed of their decision by the end of the week. I heard nothing. Instead, over a week later I was asked to come back for a THIRD interview (that was scheduled for 3 weeks dwn the road) for the same position with a different boss with no explanation as to why I received no response on the previous interview. By then I really didn't want the job, the woman I would be working for was horrible. I was told during the final interview that they hadn't sent out any information about the previous interview because they were still interviewing from the same pool of canadits for the latest position....The last interview was bad and I was more than happy not to receive the position. Overall, they were very unprofessional. These people wasted a lot of my time by not keeping me informed on what was happening and by keeping me on the line for this position.

Interview
Got a call and set up an interview with the GIS Coordinator. There was only one interview and was offered the position before I left. During the interview I was asked basic GIS terminology and what experience I had with everything. I was then asked to demonstrate my familiarity with the ArcGIS platform.
