I applied for the position online some weeks ago and received a call Tuesday to chat about the position. I was informed of the starting salary. It was a little lower than I was hoping. I wanted to think it over before proceeding, as to not waste anyone's time or mine. I was informed if I decided to interview for the role, considering our discussion, to let them know in the next couple of days. I sent an email on Wednesday stating that I thought things over and wished to proceed through the process. On Thursday, I received an email stating they had some fast moving changes since we spoke, and were no longer interviewing for the role. Sounds a bit fishy to me, but it's probably for the best, as I was a bit doubtful about the salary anyway.
