      Sales Representative Interview

      8 Apr 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Albuquerque, NM
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at D.R. Horton (Albuquerque, NM) in Mar 2026

      Interview

The guy that interviewed me was their brand new sales manager that had just moved here and seemed clueless about what he was doing or supposed to do. It seemed very informal and made me wonder if they even had an actual position open. Our conversation was pleasant and then I was ghosted after that. If anyone from DR Horton cares enough to read this, a simple email or phone call afterwards, letting the candidate know that you've gone a different direction would be professional and appreciated. My kids were home for spring break. I hired a babysitter so that I could attend the interview, and we returned from our family trip one day earlier than planned, so that I could attend the interview. No response afterwards is just rude and as hard as a professional job search is these days, that lack of professionalism can make people feel worthless, and it reflects really poorly on one's experience with the employer. A simple message, or even better, a little bit of feedback, goes a long way and who knows, might help the person land the next job they have a chance to interview for.

      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I interviewed at D.R. Horton (Louisville, KY)

      Interview

Very laidback interview that was conversational. The manager was very knowledgeable and wanted to get to know me and how I would fit with the company and team. Asked very pointed questions related to sales and the sales process.

      Anonymous employee
      Atlanta, GA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at D.R. Horton (Atlanta, GA) in Mar 2022

      Interview

Run of the mill interview, but the interview is hard to get. It's better to know someone. They don't hire often so if you get a shot be prepared. Don't expect to make a ton of money like people say. It can happen, but they do have communities that don't perform well.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Tell me about yourself. Just know why you want to be there.
