I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at DPR Construction (Phoenix, AZ) in Oct 2010
Interview
It was a one to one interview. The company seemed to be well organized and managed. They seem to be more interested in interpersonal communication skills over technical skills for entry level positions. They did not have a set of questions, but went with the flow. Nice people, regret not making it through.
4 hours long interview, 4 one-on-one interviews (15 min each), group activities with other candidates, final video confession to record following up a question and a final pizza get togther.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at DPR Construction (Raleigh, NC)
Interview
Very non traditional, had to do team building exercises with people I’m directly interviewing against. Based off this I ruled out dpr as an employee I would work for. Did 5 min speed interviews with 5 groups of 3.
Relaxed and enjoyable, 5 different interviews all were not too bad. Interviewing for personality, they do not ask you any test questions. They just want to see your enthusiasm for building things.
