Application
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Dale Curtis Communications in Jun 2013
Interview
I found out about the internship through my university internship network. I was contacted a week after submitting my application and invited to come in for an interview and writing test. The interview was behavioral; we went over my interest in the industry and my work experience. For the writing test, I was asked to read an article related to a client and then draft a summary, Twitter and LinkedIn post in 30 minutes. I was offered the position 4 days later.

Question 1
The 30-minute time limit on the writing test added some pressure.
I found out about this job through a friend's LinkedIn post, and I sent in my resume, cover letter, and college transcripts via e-mail. Since I was not in Washington, DC, at the time, they were amenable to conducting my interview over the phone. Most of the questions were pretty basic and intuitive to the job, and they asked to make sure that your past experiences and personality would be in line with the responsibilities of the communications industry. The interview was followed by a timed writing test.

The most difficult part of the interview was the timed writing test, where you were asked to draft various social media content in a short amount of time.

Interview
I first heard about the position through a LinkedIn post. I sent in my resume and they invited me to come in for an interview. It was more of a behavioral interview. It did seem like they wanted to hear about your interests and what experiences you were proud of. I then got an email asking me to come in for a writing test. It was pretty intense, you had to read an article and write a summary, tweet, and linkedIn post in a short amount of time.
