      Transportation Manager Interview

      5 Aug 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Baytown, TX
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Damco (Baytown, TX) in Jun 2015

      Interview

Phone interview were basic questions about job history, education, and goals. Two weeks later face to face interview with Regional Manager @ the DC. Prepare yourself with a detailed description of every bullet on your resume.(Tougher than a panel interview) I'm almost certian I didn't get the job due to my sudden development of tourettes and lack of "specific type of manager" experience. I can say the hiring manager is very knowledgable about the business and will want examples of how you used everything that's listed on your resume. This was one tough interview but it also gave me insight on what skills I need to develop. I read a few negative reviews on the company, specifically the Baytown location, but I think the right candidate will get great experience.

      Question 1

What are five words that makes great manager? What are five words that make you a great candidate for a management role? Describe your experience with P & L, Project Management, Leadership, Compliance etc... How will you handle disgruntled employees being the new person?
