I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Damotech (Montreal, QC)
Interview
One screening interview with HR, followed by in-person interview with executives. Was a nice balance of casual and professional. Didn't ask anything too complicated, seemed to acknowledge my inexperience, but not necessarily in a bad way. I received an offer but they asked me what I wanted as a salary and I gave them my answer, which was inflated for a few reasons, namely that I was simply preparing to negotiate. They scoffed, at which point I asked what they were prepared to offer. I expected a sizeable discrepancy but thought it was still quite low ... I implied that I was hoping to negotiate, and asked if I could think on their offer nonetheless. They said yes, but then called me back a few hours later to revoke their offer altogether. It was a pretty strange and in my opinion, unprofessional experience. It was just illogical on their part.
